I babysit an 18 month girl and a 3 month old boy often. She is really loud, and always wakes up him up. She runs around screaming trying to get me to chase her. What are some fun, quiet games that I can play with her when her brother is sleeping? What are some fun games to play with an 18 month old?
puzzles, age appropriate. coloring books %26amp; crayons. reading to her, with the lights dim. make it a set thing...turn all the lights out and talk quietly and tell its time for quiet time. she is too young to understand a whole lot, but she is old enough to be aware of her surroundings and what may be happening next. if you talk and act quiet, more than likely, she will follow. if she starts running around and yelling right away, pick her up and set with her and tell her its quiet time. and make sure to let her run and play loud games when he is up, so that she can see the difference. you could also get a good cartoon she likes. or disney movie, and give her her snack as well. make her snack time when he has nap, that way when you lay him down, she automatically knows its her snack time. and that should be sitting down and quiet anyway. then you can engage her quietly from there, becuase she is already calm. What are some fun games to play with an 18 month old?
18 month olds can't really play "games". Their attention span is too small.
Read books, build stuff with legos, do finger painting and coloring. What are some fun games to play with an 18 month old?
