sims is great and if you have a wii or nintendo ds cooking mama is a great game as well. as well with a ds nintendogs is a great girl game for computer and free sims is the way to go.

I think Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing are pretty girlie and they teach you how to manage a farm and/or build a city.
They aren't free though - they are on the DS or Game Cube.
